The organizer does not list holiday closures or an end date on its site; the Visit Marietta calendar lists dates through Dec. 12. The market posts updates on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
The next market falls on a festival day downtown: HarvestFest on Oct. 17. Expect more people and fewer open parking spaces that morning.
Where it is and parking
The market sets up on Mill Street, just across from the Marietta Square Farmers Market at 41 Mill St., one block north of Marietta Square. The two markets run on the same Saturday mornings, so one trip covers both.
From the city’s downtown parking page:
- Street parking around the Square is free, with a two-hour limit.
- The City Hall deck, 205 Lawrence St., is free all day on weekends.
- The city lots at 41 Mill St. and 36 Atlanta St. are free for up to two hours between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- The city lots at 268 Lawrence St. and 95 Cole St. are free all day on weekends.
Check our road construction and closures page before a festival weekend, and see our Marietta Square guide for the rest of downtown.
Tickets and cost
No tickets are needed and the market does not publish an entry charge. Each artist sets their own prices.
What to know
- What is for sale: handmade arts and crafts from local makers. Each week the market features one of its artists on its home page; a recent feature was a maker of sterling silver jewelry and stained glass sun catchers.
- What is not: the market does not accept candle or body product vendors.
- Bring a coffee: the market pitches itself as a Saturday stroll with a friend and a cup of coffee, and the shops and cafes of the Square are a block away. Our breakfast and coffee guide lists places nearby.
- For makers: the market reviews applications by email. Send photos of your products and your booth setup to downtownmarietta@gmail.com. The market says the vendor fee is $50 a Saturday and that accepted vendors are told a few weeks ahead which Saturday they have. See the market’s apply page.
For holiday gifts from shops around the Square, see our holiday shopping guide. More ideas for the weekend are on things to do this month and arts and exhibitions this month.
Dates and venues as listed on the Visit Marietta Georgia calendar and confirmed on the organizer’s site.
