Most of Marietta’s ice cream and dessert shops are on and around the Square, where seven sit within a few blocks, from North Park Square to Mill Street and Powder Springs Street. Cobb Parkway has a doughnut shop at each end of town, a Dairy Queen and a paleteria.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Marietta’s city limits, the same data behind our business directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. Das Sweet Treat comes from the Marietta Square Market vendor directory. Where a place has no website, or its site would not load for us, a record in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database confirms it is operating, and the phone number comes from the OpenStreetMap record. Hours change with the seasons at several of these shops. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? The places
Das Sweet Treat in the front trolley space of Marietta Square Market fries Quarkbällchen, a German dough ball made with quark cheese, in original, cinnamon and vanilla flavors.
DQ Grill & Chill is Dairy Queen’s Cobb Parkway South store. Its page would not load for us; an April 21, 2026, Cobb County inspection record confirms it is open.
Gabriel’s Desserts in the Whitlock Avenue shopping center makes cakes and desserts. Its site blocked our request, and its most recent inspection record is dated Nov. 14, 2025, so call ahead.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has a scoop shop on Church Street, a block north of the Square. The chain’s shop finder would not show us the Marietta hours; a May 26, 2026, inspection record confirms the shop is open.
Krispy Kreme on Cobb Parkway South makes doughnuts and opens at 6 a.m. daily.
La Delicia Paleteria y Neveria on Cobb Parkway South sells Mexican ice pops and ice cream. It has no website; a June 5, 2026, inspection record confirms it is open.
Paleteria Michoacana in the shopping center at 737 Roswell St. has no website; a July 28, 2026, inspection record confirms it is open.
Pie Bar a block off the Square sells pies by the slice and whole, and takes orders online.
Rocket Fizz on South Park Square is a candy and soda shop with its own taffy and bottled sodas.
Sarah Jean’s Ice Cream on North Park Square posts seasonal hours; the fall hours above are current.
Snow on the Square on Mill Street serves Louisiana-style snowballs and takes flavor ideas from customers. Its site lists no Wednesday hours.
Sugar Cakes Patisserie & Bistro on the north side of the Square bakes pastries and custom cakes and serves breakfast and lunch.
Tip Top Donuts on Cobb Parkway North did not answer our request to its site; a March 6, 2026, inspection record confirms it is open.
