Six barbecue places inside Marietta city limits, from Whitlock Avenue and Marietta Square Market to Roswell Road, Cobb Parkway and Sandy Plains Road.

Last checked Oct. 6, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Marietta’s barbecue is spread out. Two places are close to the Square, Dave Poe’s on Whitlock Avenue and Smokehouse Q in Marietta Square Market. The others are on Roswell Road, Cobb Parkway and Sandy Plains Road, and one of them is a Korean barbecue restaurant.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Marietta’s city limits, the same data behind our business directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. Smokehouse Q is also listed in the Marietta Square Market vendor directory. Sonny’s location page would not load for us, so a June 2, 2026, record in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database confirms it is operating, and its phone number comes from the OpenStreetMap record. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.

The places

Crooked Tree Cafe on Cobb Parkway North pairs breakfast with barbecue. Its site says the kitchen smokes its own brisket, pork and chicken in-house and makes sausage daily, served with biscuits and a bar of house jams and jellies. It also caters. It is open for breakfast and lunch only.

Dave Poe’s BBQ is just west of the Square on Whitlock Avenue. It describes its meals as pit-cooked in a 19th-century tradition, and it shows ballgames during baseball’s postseason. It lists no Sunday hours.

Smokehouse Q is a stall in Marietta Square Market. The market’s page says it was formerly Grand Champion BBQ, smokes its meat overnight and serves it until it runs out each day, and has a second location in Roswell. Seating is shared, indoors and on the market’s patio.

Sonny’s BBQ is the barbecue chain’s Cobb Parkway South restaurant. Its inspection record lists it as Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q. Check hours before you go.

Tofu Village Korean BBQ on Sandy Plains Road is a Korean barbecue restaurant. Its site offers online ordering and asks diners to call to make a reservation.

Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q on Roswell Road posts its catering menu and online ordering. It closes on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and closes early, at 5 p.m., on Halloween, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, its location page says.
