Marietta runs its own schools. Marietta City Schools serves the homes inside the city limits, from pre-K through 12th grade; it is not part of the Cobb County School District. A Marietta mailing address does not mean the city: many homes with one are outside the limits and are generally zoned for the Cobb County School District instead. Check the address first.

- Zone lookup: the City of Marietta’s property search tool, which the district uses for school zones, or the district attendance zone map (PDF)
- Marietta City Schools main line: 770-422-3500, 250 Howard St.
- Enroll a new student: the district’s student registration page; questions go to Strategy and Innovation, ext. 7297
Inside the city, only the elementary school changes by address. The district has one sixth grade academy, one middle school and one high school, so every city address is zoned to the same three. Seven elementary zones split the city, and they do not follow neighborhood lines; our neighborhoods guide shows which zone covers most of each area. All 12 schools below are inside the city limits.
Enrollment is the state’s count in its 2025 School Grades report. CCRPI is Georgia’s College and Career Ready Performance Index, scored 0 to 100. Tables are in alphabetical order.

The Marietta Center for Advanced Academics is the district’s STEAM magnet school. Families apply, and its page explains the points system. Families in one elementary zone can also apply for an open seat at another elementary school through the district’s school choice program; the window runs Nov. 1 to 15, and each school page lists the grades where it took choice applications for 2026-27.
Pre-K
| School | Address | Grades | Students | CCRPI | Zone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emily Lembeck Early Learning Center | 377 Henry Drive SW | Pre-K | 127 (2023-24, federal count) | Not scored | No zone: lottery |
The center takes 4-year-olds who live in the district. When more children register than there are seats, it holds a lottery.
Charter schools and other programs
Marietta City Schools has no separate public charter school. The whole district became one of Georgia’s first charter systems in June 2008, according to its charter system page, and all 12 schools above are part of that charter.
The same page lists two more sites that are not counted as schools:
- Marietta Performance Learning Center, an alternative program for grades 9 to 12 at the Woods-Wilkins Campus, 353-B Lemon St. Marietta High students are referred by their counselor; see the Marietta High page.
- George W. Hartmann Center, a residential treatment center that operates under an agreement between the district and the Georgia Department of Education. It appears in the federal school directory but not on the district’s list of schools.

The Marietta Center for Advanced Academics, a magnet school with an application, is included. Scores are from the state’s 2025 report.
Private schools
These private schools have a Marietta mailing address in the NCES Private School Survey for the 2023-24 school year, with the grades it lists.
