Attendance zone and feeder schools
Look up any address with the City of Marietta’s property search tool, which the district uses for school zones, or see the district attendance zone map (PDF). Elementary zones do not follow neighborhood lines. A Marietta mailing address outside the city is generally in the Cobb County School District.
The district’s charter system page lists one sixth grade academy, one middle school and one high school, so every A.L. Burruss Elementary student goes on to the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy, then Marietta Middle and Marietta High.
For 2026-27, the district’s charter system page listed A.L. Burruss Elementary as accepting school choice applications in kindergarten. Choice lets a family in another elementary zone apply for an open seat; the application window is Nov. 1 to 15.
We found no rezoning approved by the Board of Education that affects the school.
